FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Is the transfer certificate required?

Yes. To sell or give away a vehicle registered in France, the former and new owner fill in and sign a transfer certificate (cerfa form no. 15776). Our document follows exactly its fields and adds an annex with the price and terms. The document is always in French.

Is a signature on screen valid?

The on-screen signature is a simple electronic signature with signing evidence (date, time, IP, device, content hash). If the authorities or the buyer ask for a hand-signed copy, print the PDF twice and sign both at handover.

When do I pay?

Only once everyone has signed. You choose who gets the payment link. If the other party doesn't sign, nobody pays. After payment you both receive the sealed PDF by email.

Do you file the declaration for me?

No. We are not a government service and not affiliated with ANTS. The seller declares the transfer for free on the ANTS website within 15 days and gives the transfer code to the buyer; the buyer applies for the registration certificate within one month. We remind you by email.

What about the roadworthiness test?

For a car over 4 years old, the seller hands over a contrôle technique report less than 6 months old (on the date of the buyer's application).

What happens to my data?

It is only used for the document and reminders and is deleted automatically after the deadlines (60 days by default). Only the parties know the link. We send nothing to the authorities.
